GDHS is a “Hockey Only” institution, providing
its students with a well disciplined setting, but a fun environment
that is conducive to their learning how to play the game of hockey
properly. This is a teaching school that will focus on proper skill
instruction as well as game expertise while allowing the students to
compete and have fun.
The School, now in its 36th successful year,
will be under the personal direction of professional coach Lincoln
Flagg. Lincoln has been with the hockey school since its inception
in 1972. Lincoln has coached at the collegiate level and is
currently the GM/Coach of the Jr. ‘A’ Falcons. He has helped to
place over 400 players into colleges and universities across the
Country with over 7 Million dollars in scholarships. Many of those
players have been students at GDHS and now return each summer to
teach.
GDHs staff will include professional educators, players, & coaches
who have cumulatively spent hundreds of years in the “Dineen
System”. Instructors such Tom O’Connor (NHL Pittsburgh Penguins),
Ron Hainsey (NHL Columbus Blue Jackets), Gregg Johnson(AHL
Bridgeport Sound Tigers) Rob Bellamy (Umaine), Jeff Mason
(Providence college & ECHL Gwinett), Gerry Dineen (Coach Tabor
prep), Bruce Marshall (Coach UConn), Len Quesnelle (Coach
UMass-Amherst) Ross Mottau (Coach Northeastern) and others make this
