School Philosophy

GDHS is a Hockey Institution providing its students with a disciplined setting, but a fun environment that is conducive to their learning to play the game of hockey properly.  This is a teaching school that provides students with proper skill instruction, as well as game expertise while allowing students the opportunity to compete and have fun.

The School, now in its 37th successful year, is run by professional coach Lincoln Flagg.  Lincoln has been with the hockey school since its inception in 1972.  Lincoln played hockey for Gary Dineen before going on to play college hockey at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and then onto minor professional hockey.  Lincoln has coached at the collegiate level before returning to coach in Gary Dineen’s Jr. Coyotes Program.  For seven seasons Lincoln served as GM/Coach of the Junior ‘A’ Falcons.  Lincoln has helped to place over 400 student-athletes to colleges and universities with over 7Million dollars in Scholarshp.

GDHS Staff will include professional educators, coaches, and players who have cumulatively spent hundreds of years in the “Dineen System”.  Directors and instructors; Tom O’ Connor (Pittsburgh Penguins),  Ron Hainsey (Atlanta Thrashers), Rob Bellamy (Philadelphia Pantoms), Jeff Mason (Gwinett), Keith Johnson (Portland), Barry Almeida (Boston College), Gerry Dineen (Tabor Academy), Bruce Marshall (UCONN), Len Quesnelle (UMASS) and others make this staff one of the most knowledgeable and gifted in this region.
